Tribute & Message From The Family


Deborah Lynn Burgess Stephens, 61, wife of the late Gary Allen Stephens, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of Furman Odell Burgess and the late Frances Victoria Goodlett Burgess. She loved jewelry and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Deborah retired as an underwriter for Marsh & McLennan after many years of service and she was a faithful member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley.

Surviving are brothers, Eddie Burgess of Greenville and Steve Burgess; sister-in-law, Karen T. Puckett; nieces, Jade Chappell, Toree Powers, and Chanler Burgess; nephews, Chase Burgess and Colby Burgess; great nieces, Hayden Chappell, Payce Chappell, and M.J. Powers; and great nephews, Zane Burgess and Cash Powers.

In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, James Mark Puckett; and a sister-in-law, Sally Lynn Stephens.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with Reverend Dr. David Gallamore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.

My condolences to friends and family of Ms Deborah and her untimely passing. I Was just Facebook friends for many years and I truly believe she was an Angel 2nd class and Heaven needed more 1st class up there as the bell rang.
